Welcome to Teche Health, a private, non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center, and NCQA-recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home. Teche Health is an FTCA deemed organization.

Teche Health was founded by Teche Action Board, Inc., in 1974 and was the first Federally Qualified Health Center. Every day since our founding, we have committed ourselves to providing compassionate, quality care to residents in our communities, including St. Mary, Terrebonne, St. John, Lafourche, St. James and Assumption Parishes and surrounding areas.

One of our guiding ideals at Teche Health is that everyone deserves access to high-quality, affordable care.

Throughout our decades of operation, many of our patients have come from underserved, disadvantaged communities, and because of our sliding pay scales based on income, they have been able to receive outstanding care that otherwise may not have been available to them.
